Rho and Agarwal Impressive in Greenwich Gold

Jackson Rho and Avi Agarwal took to the courts in Connecticut this past weekend October 28-30 to compete in the Greenwich Gold Junior event.  From the looks of the draw it appeared that the tournament was top heavy with the some nations best players.

Jackson competed in the U17 division for the first time since aging up and played extremely well with impressive victories in the early rounds of the event.  The most impressive victory came in the round of 16 where he beat the 5th seed and 48th ranked player in the country 3-1. Jackson finished the tournament in the 7/8 place.  Way to go Jackson.

In the U13 Boys division Avi Agarwal, currently ranked 24 in the nation in the BU13, had impressive victories over players with rankings as high as 20 in the country.  Avi managed to get to the semi-finals only to lose to the 13th ranked player, and #1 seed of the event, in the U.S.  Later in the day he played the 3/4 place playoff and won a very tight and close 5 gamer against a highly ranked player.

PJS is proud of both Jackson’s and Avi’s accomplishments this past weekend.  Both Jackson and Avi have put in tremendous efforts with their games and it appears to be paying off big time.
