BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin senior Ben Bristol (Rocky Hill, N.J.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men’s Squash Player of the Week.

Bristol went undefeated last week, helping Bowdoin win its first two matches of the season. He won two matches at the No. 5 spot against Hobart (11-6, 11-8, 11-8) and Hamilton (11-9, 11-4, 11-9). He also won the deciding match in five sets at No. 4 (11-7, 5-11, 10-12, 11-9, 11-6) in Bowdoin’s 5-4 upset over Wesleyan.

The senior is 4-2 overall this winter for the Polar Bears, who will return to action with a pair of matches at MIT on Friday. Bowdoin opens against Dickinson at 11:00 a.m. before battling Connecticut College at 2:00 p.m. The Polar Bears (2-4) are currently ranked 28th in the latest College Squash Association National Poll.
