PARENTAL GUIDLINES

We are delighted to have your children in the program and we encourage your involvement in their learning process. To insure that this partnership runs smoothly, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines.

1.

Unless there is a safety issue, please do not interfere with any of the activity on the court. Out of respect for ALL the children on the court, do not coach, cheer, referee or keep score. Children learn best in a structured and trusting environment which is free of outside pressure. Your job is to deliver your child on time (carrying squash shoes), remain in the background during the lesson and bundle up your youngster for the trip home.

2.

If you have a concern during your child’s session, please discuss it with Gail or our administrator assistants/coach so that it can be resolved.  All issues concerning the sessions must be addressed during non-clinic times.  Discussing it prior to class is not appropriate nor is it fair to the other students, as it is taking time away from the coaches main responsibility of coaching.  A private meeting or an email to the administrator/Gail is the preferred option.  Do not take action or interrupt the coach who is teaching your child unless you see a safety issue. An email or phone call would be appreciated and so we can address the issue.

3.

Siblings who accompany PJS players must be supervised at all times. The spectator’s gallery is not a safe area for free play. Rowdy behavior is hazardous and poses a distraction to all concerned.

4.

If you have suggestions about how we can improve the program, please talk to Gail Ramsay or our Administrative Director Bill Ramsay. We are always happy to listen and learn from a new perspective! If we are busy during the session, feel free to follow up with an email or a phone call.

5.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your class to prepare for the evenings activities.  Court assignments will be given to you as you arrive so please check in with the attendance master in the gallery of court 2 for your assigned court.
