Brynn Bank and Wil Hagen traveled to Maryland to take on the most recent Junior Championship tour event.
Wil (U19) breezed through his first 2 rounds of a 31 person field without dropping a game. In his 3rd match of the event he was pitted against the #2 player in the draw. Wil fell to the #2 seed 3-0 but each game improved in score form the last.
Following the loss Wil entered the Classic Plate (5-8 playoff). Wil scored a victory over D. Yaccobucci in a hard fought 5 gamer. In the 5/6 playoff he met his match with a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Sam Sherl. Congrats on a 6th place finish in the JCT.
Brynn in the U17 event easily won her first contest but then was met with resistance in the 2nd round with a 5 game loss to Binney Huffman (finalist in the event). Brynn then entered into the consolation event where she posted 2 victories before losing in the semi-final of the consolation event finishing her in the 11/12 out 32 place for the event.
