On the weekend of November 22-24, PJS’s Arman Rao (BU13) and Maryam Mian (GU15) stormed into Pennsylvania to take the Pennsylvania Regional Championships.
Arman started the event with a bye in the round of 32 and then went on to win 3 matches in a row in straight games. Round of 16, (2,3,5), Quarters (3,5,6) Semis (4,5,5).
The final proved to be a little more challenging for Arman, but he managed to rally back from a 0-1 to come back with 3 straight games to win the match (2), 8,4,4.
Maryam Mian (GU15) displayed her dominance over the field of participants by not even dropping a single game on the way to victory. The scores were: Round of 16 (2,3,6), Quarters (9,7,5), Semi-Finals (7,7,7) Finals (6.9.8).
Congrats to Arman and Maryam. The staff at PJS is very proud of your accomplishments.
