PJS’s Rao and Mian Sweep Pennsylvania Regional Championships

On the weekend of November 22-24, PJS’s Arman Rao (BU13) and Maryam Mian (GU15) stormed into Pennsylvania to take the Pennsylvania Regional Championships.

Gopinath finishes 2nd in Berkeley Heights Silver

PJS’s Shrikar Gopinath took 2nd place in the Berkeley Height Silver on the weekend of February 22-24.

The event was a round-robin event with 6 total participants. Shrikar disposed of his first 2 opponents in straight games and then played the finals, where he lost a close 4 gamer.

Thakur Takes 9th in Berkeley Heights Silver

PJS’s Srivatsa Thakur took 9th place overall in the Berkeley Height Siver tourney on the weekend of February 22-24.

Srivatsa had a tough 3-0 loss in the round of 16 but quickly regrouped to go on to win the consolation event with 3 straight victories.

PJS students Avi Agarwal, John Gunton, Lily Purtuc and Eric Zhang traveled to Boston to take on the world at the U.S. Open Junior Squash Championships. The competition was strong and intense.

Shrivatsa Thakur ( BU15) and Sanjana Thakur (GU13) traveled to the Jersey shore to test their skills at the Jersey Shore U15 and U13 Bronze Championships.

Zhang tops U11 field at Sy Perkins Silver

PJS’s Eric Zhang and Lily Purtuc swept their respective fields of U11 competitors at the Sy Perskins U11 Silver tournament during the weekend of October 12-14 at the Pingry School.

Zhang wins Big in GCC Bronze

PJS’s Eric Zhang won the Boys U11 GCC Bronze event on the weekend fo September 28-30.

In the round robin event Eric won all his matches droping only 1 game on the way to his tournament victory.
