PJS goes to U.S Open Agarwal, Purtuc finish strong.

PJS students Avi Agarwal, John Gunton, Lily Purtuc and Eric Zhang traveled to Boston to take on the world at the U.S. Open Junior Squash Championships.  The competition was strong and intense. 

Avi, who played in the BU15 draw had an overall record of 6 wins and 1 loss.  He ended the tournament in 17th position out of a total of 115 entrants.

John, who also played in the BU15 draw, started out the tournament with 2 impressive victories over international players. He luck ran out when he succumbed to a 3rd international player.  He then went on to the 2nd consolation where he met fellow PJSer Avi Agarwal.  John lost in 3 tough games. 

Lily, played in the GU11 and won a first round match in straight games.  He 2nd match pitted her against the #2 seed.  She lost in straight games 4, 6, 3.

She then went on to the Plate 2 consolation where she won out with 2 straight match victories.

Congratulations to all PJS participants of the U.S Open. What a great experience for all.
