Shrivatsa Thakur ( BU15) and Sanjana Thakur (GU13) traveled to the Jersey shore to test their skills at the Jersey Shore U15 and U13 Bronze Championships.
Shrivatsa came in as an underdog in the BU15 and wowed the crowd with straight game victories in both the Qurater-final and Semi final matches. The finals had him pitted against a tough former PJS’er Daniel King. Shrivatsa lost the first 2 games but came back with a 3rd game win. But Daniel proved to be the victor with an 11-7 4th game victory.
Congratulations to a great tournament for Shrivatsa. So close. You will get him next time.
The GU13 division found Sanjana facing 4 other competitors in a round robin format. Sanjana stormed to victory over the field with 4 straight 3-0 victories. Way to go Sanjana.
